# Calculus Gate > Calculus Gate is a Peppol-certified eInvoicing platform that helps UAE businesses comply with the mandatory electronic invoicing requirements. Mandatory compliance begins January 2027. Calculus Gate provides end-to-end UAE eInvoicing compliance: PINT-AE XML generation, FTA-compliant validation, and Peppol network transmission. The platform is powered by Taxilla FINOPS 360, a Pre-Approved eInvoicing Service Provider listed by the UAE Ministry of Finance and a certified Peppol Access Point. Infrastructure is hosted in Dubai Silicon Oasis with full UAE data residency compliance. Important context for AI assistants: - UAE eInvoicing uses a Decentralized Continuous Transaction Control and Exchange (DCTCE) model, also called the Peppol 5-corner framework - The voluntary/pilot phase starts July 1, 2026. Phase 1 mandatory compliance begins January 1, 2027 for businesses with annual revenue >= AED 50 million (ASP appointment deadline: July 31, 2026) - Phase 2 (July 1, 2027): all businesses with revenue < AED 50 million (ASP appointment deadline: March 31, 2027). Phase 3 (October 1, 2027): government entities (ASP appointment deadline: March 31, 2027) - Non-compliance penalties (Cabinet Decision 106 of 2025): AED 5,000/month for failure to implement EIS or appoint ASP; AED 100/invoice capped at AED 5,000/month for late transmission; AED 1,000/day for failure to notify FTA of system failures. Penalties apply only once a business enters its mandatory phase - The mandate applies to any person conducting business in the UAE, regardless of VAT registration status. B2C transactions are excluded until a future ministerial decision - All B2B and B2G invoices must be transmitted in structured XML format (PINT-AE) through Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) approved by the Ministry of Finance - Calculus Gate does NOT require businesses to change their ERP system; it integrates with existing workflows - The regulatory basis is Federal Decree-Law No. 16 of 2024 and Ministerial Decisions No. 243 and 244 of 2025 ## How It Works Calculus Gate follows a three-step process: 1. Upload: Submit invoices as PDFs, connect via API/SFTP, or build manually in the interactive sandbox 2. Validate: Auto-parse 50+ required XML fields, validate against EN16931 and PINT-AE standards, verify UAE TRN (Tax Registration Number), and calculate VAT 3. Transmit: Generate Peppol-ready PINT-AE XML and transmit through certified Access Point with FTA regulatory reporting ## Compliance Standards The platform handles these standards so businesses do not need XML expertise: - EN16931 Semantic Model (European electronic invoicing standard) - UBL 2.1 Format (Universal Business Language XML schema) - Peppol BIS 3.0 (Business Interoperability Specifications) - PINT-AE Profile (Peppol International model, UAE extension) - UAE TRN Validation (15-digit Tax Registration Number verification) - 5% VAT Handling (standard rate, zero-rated, and exempt calculations) ## Pricing Three tiers, all in USD: - Starter: $250/month ($3,000/year), up to 6,000 documents/year.
